Information We Collect

TextSieve does not collect personal information from the app. We do not collect your name, phone number, contacts, SMS or MMS content, sender information, message metadata, device identifiers, custom rules, classification results, or in-app usage behavior.

Apple may provide developers with App Store metrics, purchase information, or crash diagnostics under Apple's own policies and user settings. TextSieve does not add its own analytics, tracking, advertising SDKs, or remote logging service.

SMS Filtering

TextSieve uses Apple's SMS filtering framework. When iOS asks the TextSieve message filter extension to classify an eligible message, the extension evaluates the sender and message body locally on your device and returns a classification result to iOS.

TextSieve does not transmit SMS content, sender information, classification results, rule matches, or custom rules to the developer or to a cloud service.

Local Rules and Storage

Your custom rules and app settings are stored locally in the app's shared container so the main app and the message filter extension can use the same configuration. If you choose to export or import rules, the file is handled only through the action you initiate.

TextSieve does not provide cloud sync or remote rule updates in this version. Moving rules between devices requires an action you control, such as exporting and importing a rules file.

If you contact support by email at chen1009799736@foxmail.com, we receive your email address and the information you choose to include. We use that information only to respond to your request.

Please redact phone numbers, verification codes, tracking links, addresses, and other sensitive message details unless you intentionally choose to include them for troubleshooting.

Website

This website is static and does not intentionally set cookies, run analytics, or include tracking scripts. Hosting providers such as Cloudflare may process basic request data to deliver and secure the site under their own terms and policies.

Third Parties, Advertising, and Tracking

TextSieve does not contain third-party advertising SDKs, analytics SDKs, or tracking SDKs. We do not sell, rent, or share user data for advertising or cross-app tracking.

Children's Privacy

TextSieve does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children.

Changes to This Policy

If the privacy design of TextSieve changes, we will update this policy before collecting any new type of user data. The current version reflects a local-first app with no user data collection by TextSieve.
